  I was a military dependent back in the mid-90s. Suffering from stomach upset, I went to a clinic and was diagnosed with a "kidney infection" by another doctor and given antibiotics. Two months later, I learned my ailment had been morning sickness and the "infection" was a "baby"! (Antibiotics are not good if pregnant!) So I went to a military hospital seeking prenatal care; I was told I was 3 months pregnant and wouldn't be getting my 1st prenatal exam for another month, during which it was unlikely I'd actually meet my OB/GYN. The person who would deliver my baby, it was explained to me, would be "whoever was on call when I went into labor". Needless to say, this greatly upset me and my husband. Fortunately, he and I were able to get a free consultation with a private-practicing doctor - Dr. Pineda, who was very sincere and understanding when it came to our concerns with regards to my treatment (rather lack thereof) at the other medical facilities. More importantly he was helpful in that he immediately ordered an ultrasound, which is how we discovered that I wasn't 3 months pregnant, but already nearing the end of my second trimester! I'd gone that whole time without prenatal care and, worse, I'd taked meds I didn't need because of a misdiagnosis! Dr. Pineda became my OB/GYN and delivered my first child, a precious 9lb 4oz son, who is now a healthy 21-year-old man who is about to become a dad himself when his first child, my granddaughter, is born this December 2016. I can't thank Dr. Pineda enough!

  Dr. Pineda was okay as far as himself,, but his nurse I'm not sure of her name but she's the African American LPN she was very mean spirited and also when you call having questions regarding results she's very rude and has no sense of caring. I decised to switch to a new doctor and she's the best OBGYN a woman could ask for. She gives you great one on one time and she makes you feels as if you are family. I will never be apart of Joseph Pineda or his staff again and I hope that the nurse can see my review and also Dr. Pineda as well!!!
